1 DAY:KAREN BLIXEN MUSEUM – DAVID SHELDRICK ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE – GIRAFFE CENTER – KAZURI BEADS CENTRE
Get picked from your Nairobi hotel at 7.00am. Proceed to the Karen Blixen Museum where you view relics and listen to a narration of Kenya’s colonial history. Thereafter, head to the David Sheldrick Baby Elephant Orphanage where you see the orphan baby elephants feeding between 11am and 12pm.
At 1.00pm, enjoy lunch at the Karen Blixen coffee garden. Between 2.00pm and 3.00pm, take an afternoon visit to the Giraffe Centre where we can feed the Rothschild Giraffe. This is a 120 acre conservation centre in the heart of Kenya’s capital city and it provides a natural breeding ground for one of Africa’s most graceful animals, the Rothschild Giraffe.
Lastly at 3.00pm , visit the Kazuri Beads Centre where you can watch the women artisans at work and maybe buy yourself local gifts in support of the self-help local women’s project. Later get dropped off at your Nairobi hotel by 4.30pm.
